Welcome to the website of concert organist, pianist and teacher Matthias Havinga.
Matthias enjoys a busy international concert career. He recorded many CD's, made countless other recordings and runs a successful Youtube-channel. Havinga is organist of the wonderful organs at the Oude Kerk, Amsterdam.
He is also Professor of Organ at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam.

This autumn brings a series of diverse projects for Matthias. In the first place the Organ Class of the Conservatorium van Amsterdam will start again in September, now coordinated by Matthias. Also there will be a number of concerts featuring programs ranging from Bach and older music to the newest compositions.
First, the year kicks off with a concert in Goede Rede Concerten Almere, played with recorder player Hester Groenleer. Then two concerts in October will showcase new music. On October 4 The Royal Wind Music & Matthias Havinga will play a new piece by Raivis Misjuns at Het Orgelpark, and on October 21, Matthias will play an organ concert devoted to contemporary music in the church of St. Peter, Köln (Germany) . The entire program consists of music written in the last 60 years, the newest of which was composed by Geerten Liefting, Kate Moore and Giuliano Bracci.
The last two months of 2025 feature mainly Bach. Matthias will play a French Bach-program on November 7 at Het Orgelpark Amsterdam, and an end-of-year Bach recital at the Westerkerk Amsterdam on December 30. In between, there is a short tour to the south of Portugal with concerts in Lagos and Faro on November 28 and 29.
