Welcome to the website of concert organist, pianist and teacher Matthias Havinga.
Matthias enjoys a busy international concert career. He recorded many CD's, made countless other recordings and runs a successful Youtube-channel. Havinga is organist of the wonderful organs at the Oude Kerk, Amsterdam.
He is also Professor of Organ at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam.

Great news: the first solo-CD by Hester Groenleer will be released in May! Matthias plays the harpsichord on this CD full of wonderful English baroque music.
This year, the organ concert summer has an early start in Wassenaar, where on April 18 Matthias will play the beautiful organs by Hinsz/Van Dam and Mutin at the Dorpskerk.
Then, there is quite a special concert at the Stiftskirche Wilten, Innsbruck (Austria) with recorder player Hester Groenleer, May the 14th. At least three of the four organs in this church will be played. This concert is quickly followed by a completely different program at the Kruiskerk, Amstelveen, featuring exclusively Dutch organ music, mainly from the 20th century.
In the meantime, preparations for the premiere of top composer Joey Roukens new organ piece 'Iter Arcanum' are ongoing. This wonderful composition will sound for the first time at the opening concert of the International Organ Festival Haarlem in July. There will in this concert also be a dance program 'Silenzio' adapted for the organ with dance group LeineRoebana
