Welcome to the website of concert organist, pianist and teacher Matthias Havinga.
Matthias enjoys a busy international concert career. He recorded many CD's, made countless other recordings and runs a successful Youtube-channel. Havinga is organist of the wonderful organs at the Oude Kerk, Amsterdam.
He is also Professor of Organ at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam.

Great news: the first solo-CD by Hester Groenleer can be heard at all major streaming platforms.
Mooi nieuws: de eerste solo-CD van Hester Groenleer is te beluisteren op alle streaming platforms. Matthias plays the harpsichord on this CD full of wonderful English baroque music.
The new symphony for organ by Joey Roukens has been very well received at the premiere during the International Organ Festival Haarlem and already in Geneva as well, where Matthias played this wonderful composition in the Cathedral St. Pierre. Enthusiastic reviews in Dutch are out here and here. Matthias issued a live recording of César Franck's third Choral played during the concert in Geneva.
The final months of 2026 bring a varied selection of concerts in the Netherlands, with early music programs in Zutphen, Epe , Peize and Bennekom, brand new music at the Orgelpark Amsterdam, and masterclasses as part of the 'Reach the Stars'-program at Warsaw University, Poland. Probably the most remarkable concert will be the five minutes of Mozart as part of a pole dance act at the Rode Hoed, Amsterdam on October 5. More information in the Agenda.
